The housing is modeled on the original lens cap for a tight fit and is equipped with three thumbscrews to secure it place for additional safety. Made of a proprietary Mylar film, if filters 99.999% of the intense visible light from the sun while blocking 100% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation. A push-on cap protects the filter when not in use.
